Children's Music

Joyful Noise Choir

The Joyful Noise Choir (age 5 - 5th grade) forms an integral branch of the Music Ministry at Trinity.  Operating as a combined choral/instrumental ensemble, we strive to provide our children opportunities to experience the joy of music and to learn to become leaders in worship, all while inspiring our congregation with the sincerity and joy of the music we offer.  Throughout the season, we sing, act, learn, discuss, and play a wide array of instruments: handbells, Boomwhackers, recorders, bucket drums, hand percussion, ukulele, water xylophones, and more!  Strong emphasis is placed on learning and understanding both traditional hymns and fun, child-friendly liturgical repertoire, and music fundamentals are taught and reinforced in everything we do.  The choir sings and plays both solo and with the Chancel Choir periodically in worship and presents special musicals throughout the year.  Each season is highlighted by a full-scale Christmas musical, participation in our Advent Concert Series, and a child-led Children's Sabbath worship service each spring.

Membership is always open and rehearsals are Tuesdays at 4:45-5:30 in the choir room.  Information Packets & Registration Forms may be downloaded here.  An online Registration Form may be completed here.

Trinity Children's Center Music Classes

Several times each week, the classes of the Trinity Children's Center meet for music in the choir room.  Cooperation and mutual respect are at the core of everything we do and our curriculum is based on the open-exploration program Music Together.  Any given class may find us singing, dancing, playing instruments, reading rhythms, crafting and playing our own instruments, and much, much more!  For more information on any of the Children's Center activities, see their page here.
